Our first committee meeting to organize CrestFest was April 15th, and our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15th.

SOUTH CLINTONVILLE STREET ASSOCIATION
CrestFest and SCSA is a sponsored organization of the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center (CRC) and as such a non-profit 501©(3). Receipts are available for all purchases and donations. 5% of all gross income to SCSA is donated to the CRC, as our fiscal agent.

2018 CRESTFEST – Our 9th annual event!!!
Our event this year will find the same street layout as the last couple years, with the expanded Kids’ Activity Zone. The family friendly events will start at Noon and continue to 8PM (music stages ending at 9PM), that’s 9 hours of fun!!!
Activities include: Kid Art Activity Area, TWO inflatables, Youth Stage (with youth performances and youth karaoke), Youth vendors, Skateboard Area, free face painting, and free popcorn/snowcones.
Other plans: two music stages with 18 local musicians/bands, 40 local vendors, and seven food trucks. The ever-popular raffle will be our fundraiser for the Kids’ Activities.
With all these free family activities, why not buy $20 of raffle tickets and win something too, from one of 100 prizes from neighborhood businesses.

MERCHANDISE SALES HELP FUND EVENT
Sales of CVL stickers and CrestFest/Clintonville merchandise funds the event CrestFest. See our Facebook CrestFest page – PHOTOS/ALBUMS/MERCHANDISE for our available merchandise. Our CVL stickers can be found at a variety of Clintonville merchants and our popular Clintonville Pint Glasses and Shot Glasses can be found at Weiland’s Market, Wholly Craft and Lucky’s Market. We can take Credit Cards.
CRESTFEST RAFFLE HELPS FUN KIDS ACTIVITIES…AND IS QUITE THE DEAL!!!
Our raffle is the oldest fundraiser of CrestFest. As many people have found out it is also quite a good deal. Not only do you help fund a fantastic event and allow the day to happen, there are some great prizes in the raffle. The raffle averages over 100 items! Think about that. 100 prizes items available for you to win in this one day event. Raffle prizes are from our wonderful Clintonville businesses and include gift cards to restaurants, paintings, pizzas, movie tickets, spa packages, gowler fills, gift certificates to businesses and much, much more. Look for list of donations later in the season. Many people report receiving several items on a single $5 raffle donation. The more you donate the more you can win. One person reported last year that for their $20 donation they received $200+ worth of raffle winnings. One neighbor said of the raffle,”I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t donate to the raffle. My kids have been jumping in the bounce house and inflatables for 8 hours, got free pop corn, free snow cones and free face painting. Why wouldn’t I donate $20? And then on top of it I win something?!”

ANNUAL CRESTFEST T-SHIRT
Another one of our popular fundraisers is our annual CrestFest T-shirt featuring the contest winning art design on the front and the logos of all our terrific Clintonville business sponsors!
We'll be posting the application to submit your artwork for the contest for this year's CrestFest Annual T-Shirt. If your artwork is selected by the neighborhood to be on our 2018 shirt, you'll also win $100. Look for our new interactive application soon. Deadline to submit your artwork is June 15th.

Limited to 40 vendors on a first come basis. CrestFest has filled all vending spots in the past, so please submit early.

CrestFest is a non-juried event and accepts all types of vendors that meet the guidelines in our Vendor Agreement, but prefers hand crafted items/merchandise from artist/vendors living in the area. Other details on the event can be found in the agreement form, which our new interactive on-line form will be posted SOON.

SPECIAL RESIDENT OF CRESTFEST AREA INFORMATION
To our neighbors…
It is not the plan of CrestFest to grow in any way, except to make the day more awesome and fun! This is a neighborhood event and always will be. Thanks to all of you in South Clintonville that make this day so special!
We can’t put on CrestFest without volunteers to help plan and help the day of the event. PLEASE see volunteer information above and think about volunteering in some way to help our special day!
1. This year once again, we will be getting permits extending the event to include Friday night. Tulane and Crestview on FRIDAY night can be barricaded (total access to residents) from 4:30 – 9:00pm. This will allow each of the RESIDENTS in the four blocks to have neighborhood potluck/ block parties on Friday evening! Each block should have their own volunteer organizer that will contact their individual block with details. (Note: Block volunteer send contact information to [email protected]
) CARS DON’T NEED TO BE REMOVED ON FRIDAY, BUT APPRECIATED. Crestview, both blocks, plan to have their potluck together Friday night. Look for a neighborhood distributed flyer for details.
2. SATURDAY – AUGUST 18TH IS CRESTFEST EVENT DAY! PLEASE HAVE ALL CARS OFF THE STREETS NO LATER THAN 8:30AM – THIS INCLUDES FINDLEY AS THE VENDORS WILL BE LOADING IN EARLY THAT DAY!!!
Please help us out by getting cars off in a timely fashion. The streets need to be clear for the safety of our children playing in the streets that day. If you have something going on and for some reason need to not have any CrestFest activity in front of your home, please let us know (PM or email) and we’ll try and keep that area free, if at all possible. Help moving cars and transportation to car via golf cart can be provided. (Please let us know in advance.)
3. ADVANCE MERCHANDISE SALES WILL BE OPEN TO RESIDENTS FRIDAY NIGHT!!! See our FB Page: PHOTOS/ALBUMS/CURRENTMERCHANDISE.
4. HELP NEEDED FROM RESIDENT VOLUNTEERS!!!
• Access to empty or partially empty garage space for deliveries Friday night, through pick up Monday morning.
• Electric. We are in need of access to electric at various locations throughout CrestFest neighborhood for a variety of reasons. If you are willing to provide us access to electric from your residence, please contact us asap at [email protected]
Recommended/preferred: Outside 220v, grounded plug.
• We are also in need of popup canopies and coolers.
• And of course, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! (see volunteer section above).
