The Columbus Zoo Concert Series, presented by 92.3 WCOL welcomes The Charlie Daniels Band on May 25!
The Charlie Daniels Band has had such memorable hits as “Long Haired Country Boy,” “The South’s Gonna Do It Again,” “In America,” “The Legend of Wooley Swamp” and of course, his signature song, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” which won a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group in 1979 as well as single of the year at the Country Music Association Awards.
The Charlie Daniels Band welcomes McGuffey Lane as the opening act.
The concert will be held at the beautiful Water’s Edge Events Park at the Columbus Zoo. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m., with the opening act starting at 6:30 p.m, followed… up by Charlie Daniels Band in concert at 8:00 p.m.
GENERAL ADMISSION for Non-Zoo Members: $35
GENERAL ADMISSION for Zoo Members: $30
All General Admission Wristbands Include:
— Admission to the Zoo, beginning at 9:00 a.m. the day of the concert
— Access to food trucks and cash bars
— The amazing sounds of The Charlie Daniels Band
Admission may be purchased online or by calling the Zoo at 614-724-3485.
Wristbands will be mailed. Admission purchased less than 14 days prior to the event will be placed in Will Call at the entrance of the Zoo.
Tickets may be purchased at the entrance of Zoo on the day of the event, if they are not already sold out.
PARKING (for all but Zoo members): $10 per car
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
— All regular Zoo concessions will close promptly at 5:00 p.m
— Food trucks will be available for those in need of a bite to eat.
— Cash bar will be available with beer, wine, mixed drinks, soda and water for an additional fee.

Don’t forget to purchase raffle tickets to win a brand new Harley-Davidson. Tickets are $20 per ticket or $100 for six. The drawing will be held at Craft Brew at the Zoo on August 24.

— This event is set up in an outdoor festival format with limited chairs available.
— For your safety and the safety of our animals, there will be bag checks at the entrance.
— Zoo hours are 9:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. on concert day.
— Transportation will be available from the Zoo’s entrance to Water’s Edge Events Park to accommodate our guests who need assistance (running 6:00 p.m. — 10:30 p.m.)
— Wheelchairs and strollers may be rented at the entry Village at the Zoo if needed.
